How to get the best bang for your buck

(Making the most of a small marketing budget)

Got a small marketing budget? No worries! Here’s my tried-and-tested advice for making the most of every dollar, so that you can get that triple B Bang for your Buck for your Business.

When you’re working with a limited budget, it’s important to prioritise. You might have a long list of marketing ideas, but starting with the basics will give you strong foundations to build on.

Eventually, you can tackle it all, but for now, let’s focus on what gives you maximum value with minimum spend.

Tune up your branding

Start by sharpening up your brand identity. Make sure you have all the core brand assets: logos, fonts, and colour schemes that you can use across your entire business – website, email, social media, and more.

Consistency builds recognition, so having these assets in place will make a big impact.

Create a branded pitch deck

Whether you’re meeting with clients over Zoom or face-to-face, make sure your presentations are fully branded. I couldn’t recommend investing in a well-designed pitch deck more!

This one-time expense will keep paying off as it reinforces your brand in every meeting, can easily be updated as needed, and will be used for years to come.

Branded stationery and signatures

Think letterheads, email signatures, and other branded stationery. These items might seem small, but they’re seen constantly by clients and partners. A custom email signature block alone can create a polished, professional look that represents your brand with every message.

Customise evergreen documents

Focus on documents you’ll send regularly, like your Financial Services Guide or onboarding forms. These essentials should feel as much a part of your brand as your website. Since they don’t change often, branding them is a cost-effective way to build long-term brand consistency.

By focusing on these evergreen materials – those documents and assets that don’t need regular updating – you’re setting up your brand to look polished and professional without constant reinvestment.

Clarifying your branding and creating these core assets allows you to maximise your budget and build a brand presence that lasts.

So, if you’re looking to get started with marketing on a shoestring, this is your roadmap. Now, let’s get started and get that triple B Bang for your Buck for your Business.
